Lumijé is a new way of buying fine jewelry. We bring over 60 years of diamond and fine jewelry relationships, credibility, and expertise. This gives you the buying power to find exceptional pieces online without the luxury retail markup.

Lumije is honored to have as its diamond partner a renowned, mining company client and US-based diamond manufacturer.  A diamond manufacturer is one who cuts and polishes the rough diamond (the form it takes when it is excavated from the earth) into its finished form, which most of us are familiar with.

There are only a handful of diamond manufacturers who are eligible to receive rough diamonds directly from one of the three major diamond-mining companies.  As a direct-mining-client, our supplier must adhere to the highest ethical standards, transparency (which tracks the different phases the rough diamond goes through to become a finished/polished diamond) and corporate governance, in order to maintain this relationship.

This ensures you can have confidence your Lumije diamonds are always all natural (never artificially-enhanced or treated in any way) and were mined and produced in the most ethical and sustainable way.

In addition, to the strict criteria our partner must adhere to for the diamond mining company.  They are also very active members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC)The Diamond Manufacturers and Importers of America (DMIA)the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC).  Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and The American Gem Society (AGS).

Our suppliers adhere to strict protocols in regards to the sourcing of  mined gemstones. Our contractors and subcontractors are obligated to operate in full compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations imposed by the countries in which they operate. Lumije discloses all treatments that any of our natural gemstones have undergone.

We are committed to ethical sourcing and environmental sustainability in all aspects of our operations.

Lumijé partners with Bpeace, an international non-profit coalition of business leaders or "Skillanthropists" that provide pro bono advice to small women-owned business entrepreneurs in crisis-affected communities around the world. With the advent of COVID-19, Bpeace has begun an initiative to help women-owned small business owners within the United States that have been adversely affected by the pandemic.

Skillanthropists generously donate their skills and knowledge to help these businesses grow, create jobs, become more profitable, and secure a future for their workers, families, and communities.

A percentage of every Lumijé sale goes directly to Bpeace.

An Open Letter From Lumijé's CEO
